
Dapil came from the word “dadapilan”, an equipment used in extracting sugar cane juice. From the meaning, the festival is a celebration focused on sugarcane one, of the abra’s main agricultural product. Sugarcane is manufactured into a wine is called “basi” vinegar, molasses called “muscovado” and candies. The festival also features basketball tournaments, beauty pageant, parades and cultural shows.
Hon.Joaquin Enrico “Kiko” Bernos officially opened this year’s Dapil Festival. Bigger and better every year, Dapil Festivals is truly a highlight of our municipality, is about building frienship and welcoming diverw, at the sams time showcasing the talents of people of Bangued and showing them that our municipality has a lot to offer. A impressive beginnings has become remarkable public event dedicated not only to the people of banguend but also our fellow Abreños.
The Dapil Festival Streetdancing is one of the highlights of the festival, which is celebrated in february of every year. While most of the contingents of the grand parade are college students and aome young professionals, elementary and high school students are also given the opportunity to show their skills ib dancing showcasing the product of the municipality.

A ot of barangays and clusters worked hard to give world-class class performance complete with crafted props and eye-catching outfits.
The music used for the celebration has enjoyed a colorful evolution,just like the festival. From folk songs, the festival now uses drum beats and different instruments as their music.

Bangued’s tricycle drivers had so much fin during the activities that the LGU Bangued prepared for them, Obstcle relay, amazing race, tug of war and etc. It was a great pleasure seeing their smiling face during the event it was indeed a fun – fulfilled day for all of them.
